Vaccinations

A puppy’s immune system isn’t yet ready for the big wide world with its many viruses and parasites.
The diseases dangerous to dogs arepreventable, if the owner follows a regular vaccination programme and deworming schedule

alwaysin consultation with a veterinarian.

Vaccination schedule

Until the third shot, keep your puppy mostly in it’s own environment, and avoid contact with dogs that arenot regularly vaccinated.

If you’re bringing a new puppy into the household, make sure any resident dog is up to date with its combination (multi-valent) and rabies vaccinations beforehand.

You can start safe walks about 7–10 days after the third — preferably fourth — vaccination.

Preferred schedule:

6 weeks: Parvovirosis vaccine

8 weeks: Combo: Parvo, Distemper, Infectious Hepatitis, Leptospirosis

10 weeks: Combo + kennel cough

12 weeks: Rabies

6 months: Combo booster

9 months: Rabies booster

Two weeks later: Combo booster

Annually: Boosters for rabies, combo, kennel cough

Deworming / parasite control

2 weeks: deworming

4 weeks: deworming

6 weeks: deworming

8 weeks: féreghajtás

At 6 months (with combo), then repeat after 2 weeks; for adults, deworm quarterly, with a two-week repeat.

Protect against fleas, ticks and other parasites with dedicated products as advised by your vet/breeder.

Parasite protection Use products specifically developed for parasite control — your veterinarian, local pet pharmacies, or we can advise you on the best choice. Regular, repeated use helps prevent the appearance of unpleasant external and internal parasites.
